Sessions

Session 1

What is the Bible, and what do we do with it?

In this session, we will discuss how the Bible is not simply a divine rule book or theological dictionary. The Bible is a narrative that tells people who God is, and it shows how He interacts with His people and what He's doing in the world. This sacred book is a unified story centered around Jesus that challenges us to live like Him by continuing God's redemptive work in the world.

Session 2

How do I Study the Bible Authentically?

This session will center around tools and methods to better engage with the Scriptures during your study. We will look at the literary genres of the Bible, discuss its original languages, touch on its cultural and historical contexts, and see its interconnectedness by connecting some dots between the Old and New Testaments.

Session 3

How do I Biblically engage with a community of believers?

In our final session, we will discuss how the Bible was meant to be read among other people and was not meant for individual interpretation. We will ask and answer what God is calling us to when he instituted the church and what the purpose of authentic discipleship is and what that looks like.
